WORKING REMOTE & IN FAR LANDS

Over more than 3 decades, Troppo have worked across Australia in remote and semi-remote locations. We have not only resourced projects with energy, but, prompted by the ‘tyranny of distance’, we have developed construction systems and adapted normal contractual approaches to get buildings built on time and on budget.

Systems have included portables and flat-pack methodologies. Tensile structures have had their place, too. Servicing has been autonomous, simple, tough and durable – and to Code!

We have built across the Top End, including in Kakadu and Arnhem Land; across the vast Kimberley; in and around Esperance, Kalgoorlie and beyond in eastern/ central WA; up Cape York, in the Torres Strait, and up and down the coast of Queensland; on islands, and in far-western and far-northern SA, and over the border in diverse corners of Victoria; and in and around Australia’s Red Centre.

More recently Troppo have begun to engage with near-Asia, and to deliver projects in the Pacific (Vanuatu and Samoa) and Africa (Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania). Here we undertake ‘crash courses’ in new cultures, always seeking out knowledgeable local partners and people to make connection to traditional material sourcing.

And we have developed our own tough trop_pods systems for sure, affordable delivery of small structures for diverse assemblages and uses, Australia-wide.
